Let us know how it goes. Remember that this is a GREAT opportunity to flush the heater core forwards and backwards with a garden hose (nothing high pressure) to optimize the heater efficiency. If the hoses are stuck on the heater core pipes, don't go Hercules on them, carefully use an exacto knife or utility knife with a new blade to carefully and gently cut the old rubber off the pipes.
Chrysler was cheap that way changing only what they needed to when they needed to. It makes you wonder if they deleted the HCV because they found they really didn't need it or if they looked at the bottom line of how much they could save by deleting it completely. I never liked the 97+ refresh. The interior is terrible. I much prefer the older one. Yes, I will do the HC flush.

96 and older (exterior and interior) look terrible compared to 97+ lol
