Default Remove cylinder Head.

Good Morning! First Post for new user.. I have a 2001 with 4.0 it is past time to the remove and machine or replace head. Going to try to do it myself. I think it is straight forward but I do have a question about putting the rocker arms and pushrods back in during install. I have read in several different things and online that the engine needs to be at TDC when torqueing them. but in others I had read that if I do not move the car I do not need to worry about TDC. I am sure someone has replaced these heads! Any help... also best way to get to TDC!

Thanks

I've doen it both ways. Just don't twist the "bridges" and get the rockers off center.

Took my head off, didn't move the car, installed new head... all is fine.

Here's how to get to #1 TDC:

After that, if you go around the circumference of the balancer equally spaced into three 120* sections, you can just follow the firing order. 1,5,3,6,4,2.
