Question Removing Front Grill

So I wanna take the front grill an around the head lights off to repaint them cause there really bad faded I know how to get around the head lights off but how do you get the grill off?

for the grill insert, there are about 8 screws holding it in place you can access from the front easily and come off using a phillips head screw driver. there will be 4 on the corners of the insert, and the other 4 will be in the center, i believe right about the 3rd opening or so of the grill. when you get up close to look at it you'll see them easily.

also scuff them up real good (400 gritt) then work your way down to smooth them back out (800-1000-1500-2000) and use a plastic primer then a real nice paint to re do them. (and you can always then wet sand them and put a clear coat to give it a really nice shiny look).

What type or brand of spray paint do you suggest?

Duplicolor. awesome product, and comes out great everytime. i'm currently in the process of redoing my interior and painting trim with their product. it bonds great to the surface you are painting, and won't chip and flake off, and holds up to hot and cold temps really well.

For plastic krylon fusion. It works really well on plastic.

it doesnt hold up to the abuse of the outside very well tho.....


i just use a plastic etching primer and prep is always the key then just the tried and true rustoleum. and then i use automotive clear.

I used Dupli color bumper paint and it has been good.
