lmao ^

If a skinny (well, in the arms, LOL) computer nerd like me can swap his entire suspension, you can too.

A few tips:

- Disconnect only what you need to to drop the axle far enough. Lists given already are pretty good.
- If fasteners are rusty, triple your time estimates for doing the work. Replacement fasteners are a very good idea. (the LCAs, by the way, are held in with M14x2.0 110mm Class 10.9 bolts & nuts)
- Once the springs are in you can use a ratchet strap around the front axle and transmission crossmember to position the axle so you can line some bolts up. Add a jack if necessary. I have a 3.5-ton for the grunt work and a cheapo 2-ton for "assistance", it comes in very handy.
- After the LCAs are connected you can put the vehicle's weight back on the axle to bolt the rest of the stuff up, or use a jack where necessary.

just start disconnecting stuff till the axle drops down far enough.

i've even stood on one side of the axle to push it down just enough so a buddy can pull the coil out. then repeat the other side. but you shouldn't have to if you unbolt enough stuff.

Jack stand under frame behind control arms, disconnect swaybar, shocks, lca's and possibly track bar. Use a floor jack under the axle and ratchet straps/come-along to get everything lines up again.

"A bit easier" may be that there's no diff or driveshaft in the way. Otherwise suspension is identical lol

Good luck

I used a spring compressor. I kept it pointed away from myself while it was loaded. I like to dance with the devil, yknow.

Hell I just go to AutoZone and pick up a spring compressor leave a deposit with a CC will do, then return when done its free and easy lol.

It goes a lot faster that way if you have air tools or electric to compress and pull out then reverse. I have done it a lot of different ways over the years and on some trucks it's easier/faster to not use the spring compressor.
