Renix high altitude CPS? any benefit to it?

< (I wonder why they put those there for us to use, then move them around so it's hard to find what you want?)Rooster, just in case it wasn't made clear somewhere....A Renix Jeep ALWAYS cranks a few seconds. It's the "nature of the beast". Two, three or four seconds. Unlike say, with points, the ECU needs a second to make sense of the sensor inputs before there is spark.
Not sure but it seems to me 2 revs. does it. Bigger-better starter, cables, and battery speeds THAT up.
Upgraded grounds and then bigger battery cables make a difference, too, just like Flintstone suggested.

it has upgraded cables on it already... and i did the grounds... and the Cps checked out fine... cleaned out the cps connector it had junk in it... it seems to do it most after it sits overnight... and it has been -2 here now... for the pass few days.. at night..so hm...

I modified my stock sensor with another previously. I have a 90s renix. Said to give you 5-6* advance.
Jeep felt peppier for a few days, then I either got used to it or t backed the timing off.
My experience with long cranks..My jeep used to! Now maybe 3-5 seconds vs the 7-10seconds before.
I have a 100A alternator & full KWIP ground kit with 150A ANL fuse kit. Helped with voltage but starting still the same
Replaced my CPS and did the advance still the same.
Replaced starter with a new one and bam started almost instantly and still does!

Lowes, you may have to drill out the one you've got or get a factory or Napa Premium one.

Rooster, have you tried cycling the key a few times, on a couple secs, off, then on...., until the fuel pressure is up? (mine, I stop hearing the pump run on the second or third time). There is a check valve in the fuel pump that can fail. Also fuel leaking past an injector (or anywhere), can let pressure drop.
I guess it should not drop more than 20Lbs in 1/2 an Hr, if I remember right.

I cycled the key it flooded it feels it stumbled all over the place but started faster so it could be a stuck injector

I think you may be on to something. Original injectors on your Renix?
