It's gotta be right there. You swapped ECUs?

yes, the ECU in he video is a spare. I ordered a depinning tool. Seems like im going to need one. Unfortunately i dont know how to depin this type of connector.

It would be easier to probe the connector but idk what values to look for anyways.

Okay. Have you looked INTO the connector to see if a pin moved back?
You may not need a special tool. YouTube may have a video.

Oh, for sure. I looked in there with a high power flash light. Nothing seemed out of place. I didnt have alot of time this morning unfortunately. Im headed to work where im going to brainstorm on the quickest way to find the wire and look for instructions on pin removal

So i messed with it a little more today and didnt make much progress. It feels like im shooting at a moving target. I learned a little more about how the connector might de-pin, but couldnt actually get the barb to release. I spent alot of time teasing the wires but couldnt get any individual wire to present my issue.

On the other hand, it is starting to present mainly when i push sideways on the connector. And if i push the connector in the opposite direction and tease the wires, nothing happens.

what sucks is, even if i were to back probe, i wouldnt know what to set my meter to. 12v DC? OHMS? What about false positives that present just because the engine stopped running?

Im almost to the point of taking it to a shop.

I could pull each pin individually and try cleaning them and looking for abnormalities.

i just found this. This is what i will do next. Can you reference a video or something on how tight i can go on the female ends or how they should look when im done?

Ok, using the method Cruiser54 outlined on his website of tweaking the female ends of the pins, i believe the issue has been solved. Thanks!
