Default renix radiator upgrade standard shift

change to 94 xj cooling system eliminate pressure bottle, i installed a new radiator for a 1994 xj and aftermarket over flow bottle i removed the pressure bottle connected the two hoses from the motor direct to heater core eliminatimg heater control valve and plug vacuum line. I mounted new over flo bottle were pres bottle was making sure cap is low enought to clear hood when shut removed old radiator swapped mounting brackets from old raditor to new radiator the are a little shorter than new ones took old coolant sensor out of old radiator and removed plug in new radiator using the gasket on plug on sensor along with old gasket from old radiator screwed back in sensor.I installed new radiator its a little snug but it works ran new hose using hose clamps from neck of radiator to bottom nipple on over flo bottle ran hose from top nipple of over flo bottle down by ac drain hose. Fill cooling system run xj till thermostat open install radiator cap and no more pressure bottle

Not bad, what'd it cost you? Less than $75?

I should do this to my truck.

Ok. So my system is driving me crazy! Very nice conversion. My dilema is that I just put a new rad in (closed style), so I don't want to buy another. However, I was wondering about one of the aluminum overflow tanks with the filler neck and cap. Could I run that and a T-style filler neck with cap in the upper hose or would that be an overkill. It is just getting worse. Constantly burping it. Last time the overflow boiled over. The plan is ALL new hoses, clamps, and those two additions. Any thoughts? oh, and it's an 89 cher-limited 4.0 auto. No extras yet.

yep, thats the t-fitting i was talking about. in addition to the new overflow with the neck and cap like the t. then just run the small line from the t to the new overflow and then the old lines from the overflow, union them together? letcha know how it turns out. thanks alot! hopefully the headgasket isn't blown. I'm going to do cyl pressure tests and coolant sys pressure tests before i pull anything apart to see if I can narrow this down sum.
