I see you bought those very cheap Ali Express or eBay Injectors. No shame, I did it as well. 😋

they are full plastic, do they work ?
Won't they melt ?
will they be reliable ?

can I install them and drive my 2500km vacation trip with confidence ...

feedback welcome.
seems too good to be true.

no ?

Thanks manG, this is like the 3 rig I’ve done this too. I kind of regret the White now but I can change it later. Just upgraded the D35 turd for the 8.25 today, just to get me down the road a bit longer on the 33’s. The DANA was makin some racket, had to go!

lol hell I don’t know. It IS EBay so probably. They were advertised as “rebuilt”... I’ve ran it only twice since installed, uncertain if the injectors or the plug changes made the biggest different. It runs SO much better now though. Time will tell.

Pretty easy. Move s**T that’s in the way. I didn’t pull the pressure regulator. I relieved the fuel pressure and just unbolted the fuel rail and folded it back. I think it took me about an hour taking my time going slow. Plenty of info on this forums and YouTube as well. I recently replaced the FPR so no need to mess with it again. I’ve read good things about the injector update and thus far would have to concur however, I’ve only driven maybe 20 miles

IM BACK!!!! Drive the Jeep about 70+ miles yesterday and today, about 85% freeway driving 65-70mph. Irrelevant I guess the speeds, but started with the random bucking / missing again. 😡 Very random miss.

I made it where I was going, it only died once at a stop light and once exiting the freeway. Both times fired right back up.

I feel like maybe it’s electrical. Not sure, maybe the coil gets hot and starts messing around? Dizzy pick up maybe ?

What are yalls thoughts ?? See video below

I figured maybe it would be easier to come
back to this thread rather than explain again all the work I’ve already done

First off, don't go cussin at at it, although I know the feeling haha. Yeah that looks crazy. This video is while driving down the highway?

I know it's frustrating, these cars have a habit of being fixed for a little while then the original problem comes back to the surface once the ecu re-calibrates, that's my guess at least.

Its doing this through all driving ranges. If I happen to be at a stop light it will just die, but fires right back up. Seems to happen after it gets good and warm. Very annoying

I just did the injector swap an hour ago with Junkyard 748's and amazon USCAR adapters. My jeep had your exact issue for about three weeks. Then It just went away. I can't say what I did to fix it. Oh I did take the coil off and I bent all the tabs and cleaned it up nice.

ugh ! Thanks for the reply. I just did a whole mess of refreshing throughout to include the coil and ICM. I thought at first maybe the injectors But, I’d think if it was a fuel issue I’d be more sever in nature. Seems awfully electrical for some reason.

Thumbs up Renix Running PaiNs!! PROGRESS!

It looks like electrical to me too. I did cruiser's tips at least twice over the last 8 years, just in case I did not do them good enough the first time. Also cruiser has add some extra grounds which I thinks helps a lot, as the early years are under grounded. I hate chasing a problem, I have been there and it gets old fast. One time I do remember when I put in those new injectors is that my XJ did not seem to run that good after I put them in for some reason, thought I had a set of bad ones. After I drove it more it seemed to run a lot better, I can not explain why. I always do the cheapest stuff first, like the free cruiser tips then things like filters and tune up parts. I did spring for a set of Thunder volt spark plug wires as I had a slight miss every once in a while that the new wires fixed. Hope that helps. Good luck

I guess by electrical I should have said I think it’s ignition related. Might try swapping out the Coil and pickup.

Not the pickup in the coil, right?

On Renix, that has nothing to do with ignition.
