Default RENIX vacuum hose cap

Hello,

I lost vacuum hose cap (on photo it was where green insulating tape now)

it looked like this:

So, I have some questions:

1) What is the proper name of this part?
2) What the purpose of this part?
3) Can I drive without it?
4) Can I replace it by somthing "handmade"?

Thanks in advance.

I am not home at the moment, but there are actual lines that come off of that side and connect to other points. Isn't that connection more of a 90° and not a cap? I just replaced this whole piece with a brand new set up. If you can wait till next week, I get home Monday evening, I can look, and maybe send you those parts? They will be used, but still work

I'm pretty sure that's the "L" that connects the rear CCV on the valve cover, to a nipple forward of the TB. It might be included in one of the NAPA vacuum deals listed in my sig. You could just fit about any line attached to manifold vacuum, to that rear CCV and be OK.

It's comming from front vacuum fitting. I bought vacuum hose and connect it to the nipple of back side of air cleaner. Now it's OK. Thanks for help

Thanks! As I understand previous car owner remove ERG system, but leaved some parts under the hood )) I just connect this line to back side of air cleaner as on scheme posted by cruiser54, so now it's ok
