Replaced oil pan, now getting weird oil pressure symptoms
I replaced the oil pan gasket on my 1995 jeep xj. After I got done I started it up and the oil light was on. I hooked up an oil pressure guage and it's reading 40psi on a cold idle. I thought that was an acceptable oil pressure so I'm not sure why the oil pressure light would come on. Also I noticed during the couple of minutes that it was idling that the rocker arms were still dry After I shut it off. Do they not receive much oil at idle? Any help would be great, thank you

Did you know if the rockers were getting oil before working on the oil pan ?
Maybe you will have to remove the rockers & push rods & clean the oil passages etc.
If you do, don't mix the parts, & put them back with the push rods like they were IE: top end up like they were. They are mated...sort of...
Assemble them with oil etc, then check for oiling on the start up.
