replacement tie rod end part number....need a quick answer plz.
Autozone closes at 10 guys. Wanna order it tonight so I'll have it tomorrow.
I need the part number for the tie rod end at the pitman arm! Autozone has ordered me 2 and neither are correct!
The one I'm after in the one that connects to the pitman arm..I have stock xj steering incase that matters. Hopefully you guys can get me a part # because the guys at autozone don't seem to have a clue.

Don't have the number off hand but try Advance Auto Parts as they HAVE the right part. Most stores even have it in stock.
BTW, it helps to have the year of your XJ if you want help....we can't guess!

Yeah I had the same problem. I don't remember the part number but I believe it's called the left inner tie rod end. It took me 3 trips up to pepboys to finally get the right one lol

The upper TRE that goes on the pitman arm is called the left inner tie rod end. The TRE's that go on the tie rod itself, where they connect to the knuckle are called OUTER tie rod ends.

Correct! Idk why but autozone has like 13 different part numbers...and yet again they failed! I got my cash back and ordered the correct one online!
The ones they keep giving me...the threaded end is way too small..
