I need to remove this switch on the left side of the steering wheel in my pre-96 Cherokee (and also acquire one from a pick and pull).

I have found write-ups on how to do this with post-1997 models, and in these threads it is explicitly stated that the set-up is way different from 1997 onward, but nothing is said on what those differences are.

If anyone could sum these up or point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

In terms of the extent to which the switch and related apparatus need to be changed, my practical problem with my Cherokee is that the high beams will never turn off, even if both the lights and car are turned off.
