This will give you the "Upcountry" option suspension. Read the reviews. Add up the cost of parts.

So the reason they wont fit is because of flex while wheeling for the rear and at full lock on the fronts? or just any bounce in daily driving Ill hear the rub?

So what Im gathering is I either spend the bucks on a 3" lift and the extras to fit the 31s. or just simply go the 100% stock route and stuff 235/75s in there and keep the cost down? or is going stock the same price?
XJ's have either the 231 or the 242--difference is the 242 has the full time AND part time, where the 231 only has part time. Both have 4L. Just look at your shifter. The 242 will have 2 settings for 4H, the 231 has only one setting for 4H

True, but if you look back at the link I posted for the YJ springs, the description states the price is for the pair.... that listing is by "liftkitsforless" though. So I decided to google "Zone Offroad J0200" and the results show more than a few listings for individual packs at 70 a piece.... https://www.google.com/search?q=Zone...hrome&ie=UTF-8

gets more confusing to me I looked at Zone and the part number for XJ 3" leafs is J0308.

so I guess this listing is for the pair @$130 which is crazy--fat bob has it listed @116 for one leaf spring

lol.....

Seller's description:

"Sold in pairs"

Question from buyer:

"Is this for one leaf spring or a pair?"

Answer from 2 purchasers and the seller:

This did not come as a set, I had to purchase two.
By dak on March 8, 2016

By Amazon Customer on March 13, 2016

This listing is for one leaf spring.

lol.... one reason I DON'T like amazon. No accountability in listing descriptions.

Man, you are really sold on these 31-inch tires, huh?

Look, you're gonna have to trim the fenders. No getting around it. It's also not a big deal, and a super duper easy thing to do, and like, an initiation into really customizing that Jeep. Watch a youtube video and get it done.

Actually, based on your questions, you're going to want to watch a lot of YouTube videos. Focus on the Leaf Spring replacement and rear shocks, these have the most potential for not going well.

And don't get hung up on "used" stuff from a salvage yard. There is nothing wrong with reusing a bigass hunk of steel from another vehicle (leaf springs, coil springs.) The S10 and Dakota/Durango leafs are much stronger than the XJ ones. Or use a combination of your factory leaf, coupled with some leafs from an S10, called a Bastard Pack - again, watch a video. BleepinJeep explains it.

Or better yet, go check out Dukie564's build

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/pr...0/#post1789841

He's a moderator on here and his Jeep's a GREAT example of money spent in the RIGHT place and "budget" parts used correctly. He's also an engineer so you can pretty well trust what he does to his Jeep.
