Take out all manifold bolts. Just remove them both. Not sure why the other guy would suggest leaving the manifolds on...that sounds cumbersome to me. Plus it would make the head bulky and quite heavy. I'd take them both off, then tackle the head.

Well. The head is put back in and prolly 70% of the engine is reassembled. Have to wait on a new rocker arm bolt tho. I kinda snapped on by having my torque wrench set a little too high :/

Ok I got everything put back together and running...but I've got a problem. My jeep keeps over heating and my over flow tank keeps filling up. I've thought about replacing my new thermostat and my fairly new water pump. Anyone have any ideas or has had this happen to them?

I do have a light milky color in the oil still because I haven't gotten all that gunk cleaned out from the cracked head. I know I did the gasket correctly and I do not smell any anti freeze in the exhaust. I replaced my thermostat again and refilled the system, but once again it over heated and my heater pipes don't get hot at all

Are you sure there is enough coolant in the radiator? Is your belt routed correctly at the water pump? Just looking for the easy things first.
