Retiming/Reindex issue.

So yeah, looks like my last thread kind of died off quick but I feel like I got the issue down.
I am not entirely sure what is going on. Per my last thread, my oil pump driver/cam synchronizer was initially installed by a shop with the sensor facing the front of the engine bay; putting stress on the wires going to the sensor. I wanted to put it where it normally is at with it facing the rear of the vehicle. It has giving me issues each time I hand crank the engine to TDC on the compression stroke on Cyl #1, lined up at the zero mark, with the synchro lined up properly (with a similar tool like a toothpick as the FSM states) as it's installed. The engine sounds worse and worse each time I attempt. I hear crazy noises that weren't present when I got it back from the shop. I regret messing with it. Any ideas are appreciated other than going back to the shop as a last resort. I have zero idea if a PCM reset is necessary for something like retiming/reindexing.
