Default Reving high

So iv done everything to make it stop revving to 6000rmps iv replaced all the vacuum lines, gaskets, sensors, next thing I'm going with is the harness and computer, what other things can I try?

clean the throttle body and all ports....try that

I had a similar problem, I think, with my 94 grand cherokee. it was an automatic and the gears would not switch until high rpms, had to put in a lot of $$$ on work on the tranny and eventually just bought a new one.

The only thing is, it happens for no reason I'm not even touching the gas I have the gas pedal unplugged and it still happens. :/

Intake gasket changed? Was any repairs made before this started?

Yep new intake gasket, but the thing is the air is coming from the tb and iv tried to replace the tb and all the sensors so I'm lost

take some carb cleaner or an unlit propane torch or WD-40 and while running go along the TB, IAC, Intake sealing surface the rpms will drop when it gets sucked into the area leaking. If this hasnt been done.

did it do it b4 intake gasket was changed computer controled vechicles dont care were the air comes from there goin to add fuel to make the motor run the more air that is being drawn in the more fuel its going to add

the throttle plate is closed when its doing this correct

you most likely hearing the sucking sound from the pistions drawing air in

find some thing hard and cover the throttle body restricting air from sucking in see what happens like a frisbe no rags

if the wrong gasket or the gasket is broken/or not sealing air will be drawn in and the computer comensatee by adding fuel hence high reving
