Ring gears...
Anyone using a lightened ring gear?
And/or is anyone using a nitride hardened/treated ring gear?
Both?
I'm just curious...

meh no reason too. some guys who constantly break stuff around the D60 and D44 sizes cryo their ring gears and shafts, but theres no reason to in a mildly built rig IMHO

I was just wondering... I had an assortment of them for the 9"-ers at my last shop, and they/the whole thing just kinda popped into my head for no reason...

No extra lightening or hardening here. Just plain old out of the box Precision Gear 4.56s in my rig.
