I use mine a lot in the summer for camping. In the winter, it comes down and snowboard racks go up. I nabbed a Jeep wind deflector from a guy off craigslist that helps a little with aerodynamics and mpg but I'm sure its not a huge difference.

I had one.....Had to get my 33" spare off the roof while wheeling.... Built myself a swing-away... Not having to lift a 80-90 lb. wheel combo over 6 foot onto a rack is ALOT nicer.

heh I have my stock flimsy rack on my '88' that I hate and my '89' I never put it back on. only problem I have holes in the roof and I never sealed them but I never had a problem with water getting in there. its a personal preference you like or don't like it go with your gut sometimes less looks better.

No, that's just wrong.
I think you should double check your numbers, I have a stock 2001 sport and have never broken 24.

I just installed my thule MOAB today and I think it's awesome. Pictures to come soon. Although it does look like my rear end is sagging a bit in the spring. I better put a lift on soon.
