[QUOTE=Histriker1;3415793]I think it is easier to tell if the torque converter is unlocking/locking properly is by hold the pedal at a constant speed then tapping the brake pedal. You should see the RPMs go up 250-300 or so.[/QUOTE
Rpm go up from tapping the break?

I had a similar challenge and did the following in this order;
- new fuel filter [no change]
- clean throttle body and IAC [no change]
- new IAC [no change]
- new TPS [no change]
- cleaned grounds [no change]
- checked leaks around throttle body [no problems]
- replaced CPS [Bingo, balloons, streamers, marching band, dancing girls, etc]
I now know that everything is new and good and working.

Doesnt mean it is good despite being relatively new. Sadly some people have that luck and some sensors go out weeks after being installed and having to replace it again. Annoying, yes!

You can try making the computer re learn idle. Had the exact same issue for months until I re set it. Unhook your batter for 20 mins ish , hook it back up and start normally without touching the gas before engine starts.
