I wasn't given an option when I made the purchase, but they are rubber with steel sleeves. The sleeves are fine, this problem was not cause by the wrong sized hardware or anything like that, the rubber is just jacked!

why not just buy control arm bushings at an autoparts store and call it good? Id still call and say WTF? get you some new arms and voila your on the road/trail again.

X 10 on this one. I'm sure if you contact RE that they would send you replcement parts for the ones that failed, free of charge. If not, it's a great time to switch to RC X-Flex control arms. I love mine!!
