im curently running 31x12.5 swamper ssr's and a rc 3" aal kit i want to upgrade lifts this winter and have been looking around i like the rubicon express extreme duty 5.5" kit but i seen rc has a 6.5" long arm in the same price range. Im gonna be getting tires to just not sure on what i want looking at either a 33x10.50 tsl radial, 34x10.50 tlb, or 35x10.50 ssr just dont know if i wanna go bias or radial

yea i saw the two kits as well. did you look in to an SYE/CV kit? or do you have one already?

dont have one plan on getting one and some gears to. the re 4.5" kit dont look to bad either

Comparing Rubicon Express to Rough Country is like a Caddy and a Honda. They will both get you there but one ain't gonna be as nice and ride a bit rougher. With lift kits you pretty much get what you pay for. Look on this site about people's experience with Rough Country.

i decided between RC and RE and i ultimately just chose RE. I heard from a lot of people that they hold up longer, and they lift to what they say they will, if not more. I've notice a bunch of RC customers considering upgrading due to the leafs sagging after a year. Could be because they have AAL or I dont know. I like what I hear about RE.

I just bought my 3.5" RE Super-Ride (Full leafs, not AAL) for around 500, shipped!! Normally the price is closer to 600 if not more depending what sites you go to.

I have a 4.5 rough country short arm lift and it is rough but very strong. they track bar suck but with the long arm lift you get the HD one with out the tie rod. I am going to convert to the 6.5 in the near future. the only other thing I would replace is the shocks. don't like there shocks at all.

I purchased the RC 2.2 shocks this past Feb . They are ok . Only reason I went with those was because the price was cheaper (also purchased A/A SYE and a new driveshaft along with front and rear lockers , Rusty's 6.5 full leaf packs and 6.5 coils springs). It's all in what you drive and where you drive it ? If you want a softer ride , then go with RE . If you are gonna do any real wheeling , then definately get a HD tie rod . You're gonna need an adj Trac-bar too. TnT customs has a nice stout one . I see that you are in Pa. A good place to get parts is kNOw where2jeep , in York . Owners name is Eric . RE for the lift components.....RC for the long arms... Thats the way Im going on mine.

I had the same dilema, went with RE and dont regret it.Love the ride and handling and the offroad performance is sweet.10 minutes after finishing my lift I drove 2 fours on the freeway,then wheeled the next two days and the performance was flawless.RE all the way.

I loved my RE 3.5 Superflex. It was a very solid lift that rode better than stock and handled great off road. I would definitely use RE again!

I want to start with cheap and work up to BEST LIFT kit, maybe when the RC 3" kit doesn't do the job anymore.
