Alright well the jeep gave me a confusing problem. I dont know how to really explain it but ill try. When i get to about 35 or so and being in 3rd gear, it has this like stutter? It runs but acts like it is missing or something im not sure what. Hopefully someone can help or maybe someone may of had this problem.

It seems pretty constant and about that speed. If i speed up it goes away but trying to keep a constant speed is when it does it.

hmmm sounds like a spark or fuel issue to be honest. if you match that rpm range in other gears staying constant can you get it to do it?

Changed the spark plugs like an hour ago. It got all new injectors and o rings in january, so hopefully those arnt bad. Ill go out and try to see if it does it in other gears. and take it on the interstate to try it as well.

Alright to add this real quick. We changed the idel air control valve, because when it would start it would rev to like 2 grand and just stay their and sometimes it would drop or sometimes i would have to shut it off and start it again. Well my dad thought that because he didnt un hook the ground that maybe that might of messed with it. So going to unhook ground now and let it sit for a few minutes and Then ill take it out haha

Drove it today. I think it might be getting worse. It seems to do it more but only when you let out of the gas a little

you sure its not a u-joint or something going out? funny it only does it when you hold it steady or let off the gas a bit. like its doing it when there is no pressure on the driveshaft

I might of had the same problem recently. some times when i would start the jeep it would rev high and stay there, or when it would finally stop reving so high, it would almost die. While driving about 45, it would do a faint stutter. I checked my plugs and and wiring connections, all pretty good. Then I parked at a different spot in my drivway where there is a steeper slope. when i popped the hood i heard a hissing. It was a short vacuum hose on the front of the engine on the drivers side that had a badly torn boot connecter. Fixed the connection and the problem went away. Guess at different rpms and sitting on steep slope of my drive, the engine would move just enough to allow the hose to open up. Hope this helps!

Im pretty sure its not a u-joint, because it almost dies sometimes when taking off, and it only started doing that when it started this miss thing. I put more gas in it and it for some reason stopped doing it as much but still kinda does. We will check for that vaccume line in the moring to see if thats it. A friend of ours had a jeep that somewhat did the same thing and he said that he changed his fuel pump and it went away, so maybe that needs changed? if it does no big deal i get paid friday and i got another car to drive.
