Just picked up a 97 Cherokee from my sister. Long story short, my grandmother was not the most car sensible person and really messed up the coolant system by running water through the radiator. Not sure how long this was done for except it was to the point to where the systems has rusted. The heater core has replaced a few times according to my sister and will most likely have to replaced again and again (uncle was the mechanic on the jeep before passing). My knowledge of cars is average with a majority of work done by myself. However, I've never worked on anything larger or a jeep. To the point, is there a way to pressurize and flush the system to remove the corrosion or am I just **** out of luck in the summer for AC and winter for heat?

You can try flushing with this stuff:


I used it earlier this fall with really good results. The issue you're going to have is that we're starting to get Winter temps in the NE, and you are suppose to run this for a week with just water. You can try running it after draining just enough coolant out to see how much it helps. Then flush after a week or so.
