Rustys 3 inch w/ OME shocks
#16
I have Rusty's 4.5" lift. I used their shocks. didn't like them. I got the Fox shocks with remote reservoir. I like the slightly rougher ride. It drives really smooth. It's not like your teeth will fall out on ya. You feel bumps, but I think with gas shocks, the jeep handle far better. You don't get that sloppy ride. I'd also highly recommend bar pin eliminators. There are a few out there, but I went with JKS if that matters at all.
I don't find that a Rusty's kit rides any rougher then my old 3.5" RE kit did. Urethan bushing will make it ride rougher.
Rusty's also offers 2 shock rates. 150 and 180. The 180's ride a bit firmer. I think it might be safe to assume they are 150 spring rate though.
and for a $100 you can't beat that. I say go Nitrogen charged shocks. I think the drive is far better. Even if your area is known for pot holes, it almost doesn't make a difference. I've found that the nitrogen shocks give a better feel over all. Even when the tarmac is not maintained well.

i only break what i can get out .....or i compromise. found a drawtite trailor hitch and had to have it, found it with all but 2 bolts out of it, seemed someone got tired at the end and just quit......that wasnt the case. they just couldnt get the last two bolts out, and like me they probably didnt have any spray to loosen them up. so do i give up? no i play with it for an hour and a half before chiseling out a hole in the unibody around the bolt mounts. guess im a little too stubborn to give up

yeah, but it still kills me that i had 2-3 new bottles of the spray and completely forgot to get them. could have turned a 2 hour job into a 15 minute job. although i did feel kinda bad, because from the looks of it someone had tryed to get the hitch off very recently, like earlier that day recently
