rustys and rc's are really good companies but i like rustys more since its a bit more cost effective and rc is what i think a bit more for those who like a more commercial name brand.

http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_6xla.html I'd do that way way way before I'd get the Rusty's kit. Its essentially the same thing for about $400 cheaper. And all of the options that Rusty's has for their kit, i'm pretty sure rough country would be more than willing to make accommodations for you to have those if you want them(mainly the flex you'd gain buy running 4.5" packs and 1.5" shackles)

Down travel is much more important with a long arm kit than uptravel. You should check out some of the stuff ktmracer419 has done in the past with an XJ on 2.5" of lift, 37s and full width axels.

Height isn't everything with wheeling, if anything it raises your COG super high and raises your chances of flipping or flopping.

I'd get a 4.5 lift and trim to fit 34s or 35s.

why are you bashing RC, especially with stuff that is total BS? any AAL kit will sag, RC isn't the only company to offer them. If you get RC full packs they are of the same quality as those made by anyone else.

I was actually thinkin bout doing this kit before i saw the rustys. i currently have a 4.5 on 33's i love it and i have beatin it to hell and back. So honestly those kits are the same correct? Then whats the difference? Just preference correct. I dont care about name brand or anything i am looking at a good flexing kit that wont cost me everything and still be able to get it into my garage.

Yeah they're pretty much exactly the same. Why are you wanting to go up to 6.5"? why not just get the RC LA upgrade kit?

Honestly, i guess lack of knowledge is the reason why i just dont get the LA upgrade. Wanna school me? If getting the LA Upgrade would help me flex a lil more i wouldn't mind saving that money and just getting a new leaf pack as mine is flat.

If you just get the LA upgrade kit, you stay at the same height, keep the same shocks, springs and steering components. But you get a new transfercase crossmember, the old LCAs and UCAs go in the trash and you get exactly that; a Long Arm Upgrade Kit and keep the lift you already have. You'll be able to flex better and your on-road ride will be tons better due to reduced CA angles.
plus its only like $600 from rough country.
