Rustys rocker armor
I've searched and searched and can't find any info on this subject. I'm looking at a set of Rustys rocker armor sliders. http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...y_Code=xj_skid
My questions are: Anyone have experience with them, are they as tough as they look? Does anyone have pics of them installed? Any problems with install? Thanks in advance for any help. Oh, I might add, "make your own" is'nt an option for me, of all the things I've been able to learn, welding is'nt one of them, I would'nt trust one of my welds to a stiff bump into an ant hill.

Two things you want to look for in a slider: They bolt to the framerail and they bolt to the pinch seam under the door. As long as they do that then it'll be a good slider. All that's left is to decide rocker protection design you like.
I went with AJ's cuz there's no doubt in his product and it's cheaper

AJ's, not familier, you have a link you could send me? I agree on the idea that they need to mount to the Unibody as well as the pinch weld, thats what I like about Rustys. I like the look of your sliders, thats pretty much what I'm going for,it seems Rustys wrap up a little more though, I'm looking for something that does'nt stick out very far. If the price was right I might be persuaded though, what did you have to give for yours? Thanks for your insight on this.

Just been playing around on the Miller at work, not sure which one it is. Wire feed, trying to figure out the settings and what not.

My stepdad Chris told me he'd teach me, but he insists I read Jesse James "How to weld anything" before he does, and I been to lazy to do it. He wont even talk to me about it, just keeps saying, "did you read the book?' I guess I'm gonna have to get on that. Chris is an awesome welder.
