Yup needs painted. AJ left that up to us cuz some of us like pink colored sliders.
Install is pretty straightforward. Mount it and hold it with two vice grips on the pinch seams, mark all the holes, drill, and install bolts. Use caution with the self tappers. Don't overtighten em. You can use the supplied drill bit for the pinch seam holes but I used a smaller bit I had laying around so they were nice and tight. When you first mount it up, it may seem like it don't fit. I had about 1/4" to 1/2" gap between the frame rail and bracket but it all came together when I started bolting it on. Unibody jeeps like to freak you out a little....

Yup. Aj told me he's never had any issues with the self-tappers. Most of the weight is tossed on the pinch seam bolts. When you land on a rock, you push up on the sliders, which pushes the frame brackets down and self tappers hold just fine with this kind of force. If it was being pulled outwards then i'd go through the frame with longer bolts. Most aftermarket sliders use self tappers on uni-body rigs.
