Apparently xjoffroad just doesn't like RC. Here's an option guys - shut the crap up and actually answer SloPok's question. Rusty's or RC? I have Rusty's 3" and love it. Granted, I wish I could afford the RE, but I couldn't so I too had to look lower on the $$ list. I did A LOT of research and talked with A LOT of guys and gals that wheel their rigs. They said if I couldn't afford the RE then go with Rusty's. I trusted them and I'm glad I did (and I didn't even have a gun to my head). I did however get an amazing deal on some RE upper and lower arms though and simply couldn't pass it up, so I guess I kinda have both Rusty's and RE.

My RC kit is great. I beat the as you say crap out of it all the time and not one problem. I love my lift. Its very durable and dependable.I say RC.Stay away from any ADLs though.also not one bit of sag anywhere.

Is that an RE lift on the XJ in your avatar? If so I would take the kit back cuz it looks like it is sagging bad in the back and thats just from a little pic.I can imagine how it looks in real life.Nice rig though.I guess I would go RE then.lol.

i have a rustys 4.5 and it seems to do great offroad and on, so I dont have any complaints. BTW if a bushing goes bad its not the end of the world, so lets settle down with the extreme opinions

Just put Rustys new packs in the rear of mine today. Kinda stiff but should level out, ProjectMayham came over and helped. Rides great and what its suppose to do. Ive ordered from RC and its owned by Heckelthorn, a old lift company from the 70's, and wasnt inpressed. And Rustys had my leafs here the next day.

I bought the rc 6.5" short arm I have not got a chance to work it but I had the same question but it boiled down to what are u going to do with it I chose rc because people told me that when it came to pavement rc does a little better handling wise but offroad rustys had the edge

If you do 10 minutes of research you will learn that RE has TERRIBLE reputation with leaf spring Bushings and Control arm rubber bushings. I can post pictures tomorrow of my roommates 3.5 superflex kit that has 5000 miles on it. every single CA bushing is destroyed. And the right side bushings on the Leaf spring are severely warn. Currently waiting on $200 of bushings from RE... ordered 3 weeks ago, they still are not here.

It's sad that you think RE is superior to RC.. have you dealt with each companys Customer service? another area that RC far exceeds in

Jason at RC Switched Jobs, But another guy by the name of Jeff (iirc) Is an awesome guy. and they give great discounts on direct sales.

I cant lie. I did have a problem with my RC leaf spring at first, But after 10 minutes on the phone with them, I was suprised to learn my problem was not really a problem, my passenger side pack would cause my XJ to lean. so i needed to swap sides to even it out. But on RC's defense i have found that this is a XJ problem and not a brand problem. many guys with everything from BDS to RE to RC have dealt with it.

I also have pictures of a Bent RE trac bar, It was happily replaced with the newer style RC. seems to be holding up to more abuse then the RE did.

did the 10 minutes of searching and found out that RE did have terrible bushings. says they have replaced bushing issues and have upgraded bushing style, whatever that means. I doubt RE has done anything to fix it. I have seen so many rigs lately with RC issues.

Never said RE was superior to RC. I said you have many other options out there that are much better quality. I do have a RE lift and love it. RE customer service doesn't hand up on a shop when asking about warranty issues. on this forum I have suggested many brands never said RE was the best.

i understand people are cheap. they buy cheap things all the time. I guess what really gets me is when a customer shows up to the shop expecting a product to stand up to the purpose it was made for and it doesnt and they have to replace said product I feel bad for them.

its like buying a daewoo or whatever they were called. you spend $$ on something that you expect to last. its doesnt. what are you going to do then? buy a better product? then why not do it the first time?

You made the right choice. Guys in our club have had HORRIBLE issues dealing with RE and rusy's stuff sagging. At least rusty's dealt with the people and sent them new parts.... RE is a freaking nightmare... IMO the RE leaf springs they sell nowadays are absolute junk. 7 guys in our club have had bad leafs in their YJ's and XJ's. I have heard from others that if issues arise, RC has great customer service. All problems and issues were taken care of. Unlike RE.....
