Default Sabotaged!! Pls Help!!

A 'friend' recently sabotaged my jeep, I dont know what he did but here are the symptoms.

Everything electrical works, lights (interior and exterior), radio, heat/ac, locks, windows etc.

When I turn the key to start it, nothing happens. No crank, no nothing. I've checked to make sure all the fuses are there but my technical knowledge is limited at best.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Check to make sure the NSS is plugged in. The plug is by where you check the transmission oil. It is a square deal.

If the switch is dirty or not hooked up it will not start in park or neutral.

Here's a link about the NSS and how to fix it if it is plugged in http://jeepin.com/features/nss/

Also this link is really good to adjust it after you have cleaned it.

Let us know if it works

I was under the impression that manual transmission xj's....
In any case, the reverse lights come on when I put it in reverse, and the heater cuts out while in the 'start' position (like its supposed to from what I've read) and no 'clicking' noises either.
The damn thing was running perfectly fine a few days ago, and I havent driven it or done anything to it at all since it was driven last.

It should have a switch on the clutch pedal so that you push it in when you go to start it.

It would be something that can be reversed in a matter of minutes. He's done this once before... but I will go check the clutch switch and try to jump the starter.

Step 1: go to walmart and buy a wooden baseball bat.
Step 2: hit "friend" in knee cap with bat.
Repeat step 2 until you are told what he did.
Step 3: repair
Step 4: tell "friend" you are no longer friends and that he is not to touch your shipt
Step 5: burn bat and any other evidence then proceed to drive and enjoy your Jeep.

that would be why he told you to burn the bat and all other evidence. Get an alibi (sp) as well. That part is important

Is your fuel pump coming on? Beyond that, get yourself a test light and go to the starter relay and have a friend operate the key switch. There are three smaller wires that come off it. One is the ground that goes to the neutral safety switch, a green that goes to the starter and the third comes from the ignition. When the key is turned to the start position the one from the ignition should be hot. If it is, then check the one that goes to ground. Should have black in the color of it. It will go to the neutral safety switch on the tranny. You can also touch the green wire to the large post and it should operate the starter.
