I think those are to prevent axle wrap if you have lift blocks, is the ride rougher with those?

 

oddly enough i still had post reminders sent to my email. i sold this jeep a couple years ago... needed a truck to tow more wood. the little jeep handles fine. remember, tongue should be no more than 500lbs anyways and it did well (3000lbs total load weight). a little springy on the freeway when empty but not really... i kinda liked it. these were the heavy duty ones though. i towed the hell out of that jeep and it never gave me problems... except for overheating ... and thats when i sold her to someone else for their first car. still driving today .
