In need of some help here.

I would really love a scanner that can read my data from the PCM, and i知 not really finding anything on it. I know that the data link connector is under the hood, and I know that it only supplies data in, data out, and ground. No power wire, so whatever I use has to be powered externally.

I know about the DRBII scanner, but I can稚 even find one anywhere to begin with. I know Actron sells some scanners that can read OBD1, but I don稚 know which ones work and which ones don稚.

All i知 looking for is a cheap-ish scanner that I can view what little live data there is on OBD1, maybe even a scanner that can data log the values.

If anyone has a name or a part number of a scanner that works, that would be awesome

A cheap alternative that has endless results would be getting a Raspberry pi and reading data streams from OBD-1 - It will take a lot of learning and set up to get it right for each vehicle you use.

 

If you can find one, a Snap-On MT2500 with the correct Jeep cartridges works well.

 

Looks like I found one on eBay that has the right cartridge, but not the correct adaptor for the data link connector. But I did find one at work that plugs in. Guess we値l see if it works when I get it
