Honestly, bfg ats are great, I have the at k/o on my jeep, and I can roll 70 on the interstate while raining with no problems, and go hit a few rocks without a worry. Snow wasn't an issue last year when we had a foot and a half on the road here in va.

BFG ATs are also very similar to look at but have a bit of a reputation in rain (at least round here) for being slippy. I'm guessing that they have a harder compound since they also tend to last a bit longer than the Grabbers.

I can say that on my old pickup I have good year wranglers in 235/75/15, while at no time I have felt unsafe in any waether condition I am very dissapointed that they are already showing signs of dry rot in only barely over a years time..I will not buy them again.. When they got out hopefully my rear end will go out also so I can up grade rims and tires and the rear end all at the same time haha!

I have the fierce attitude m/t's on my xj, and they are about 3 years old, and have maybe 3k miles on them.... no dry rot yet, and I drove them around in the rain a bit, but only at slower speeds so it didn't bother me..

I've had my Duratracs for a over a year now and never really thought they were bad in the wet.
My thinking is that when you go with tires significantly wider from stock your likelihood to hydroplane will also increase. XJ's are also lighter than those other Jeeps as well. Just my 2 cents.
