In Search of....
I am looking for a product tester. A guinea pig so to speak.
I posted this earlier but i think it was lost inside my other thread.
So far I have 3 in the running.
So here it goes (again):
Since there seems to be ALOT of interest in these A-pillar light mounts, I need a point of view from a patron, so to speak.
TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION OF GUINEA PIG PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW:
Private Message me with NAME, ADDRESS, AGE, and PHONE NUMBER. And a brief discription of WHY you would be great for this position.
Upon being accepted for this position you will receive:
ONE pair of A-pillar light mounts in black epoxy, Mounting hardware, and detailed installation intructions.
FREE. (NO CHARGE)
Here's the catch:
1. You must install them, give your honest opinion on everything about the "transaction" from notification of shipment to finish WITH PICTURES of all steps.
2. AFTER you are totally satisfied with the A-pillar light mounts- Post a Tech Article about it.
To be in the running for this position, remember to PM ME.
ANY replies posted on/in this thread will be ignored and your name will be removed from the list.
I had a LONG list of possible applicants and it was very difficult to narrow it down to one. I believe this would make things easier.
AND kinda fun too.
I will take PM applications for 1 week. Next Sunday Jan 25, 2009 is the deadline to get your PM's in. Please no duplications.

Someone has brought it to my attention that I really don't have good pics of the items in question.
That is until NOW.
Light mount on the right, just hasn't been coated with the black epoxy YET.
OK. There they are...hahaha

How far do they stick out?
I supplied pics to answer that one.
Depth?
1 3/4"- 2" (Maybe up to 2 1/4") from center of mounting bolt.
Mostly depends on how high the light is front the mounting surface.
Number of applicants: I wrote down the names of 6 members whom I believed would have been the first to jump at this. So far- NONE of those names have appeared in the 8 applicants that have PM'ed me so far.

I try to do my best. As I am not just a vendor I have TWO Cherokees and both are DD's (A HIS & HERS deal).
I try to make my products the way I would expect them if I were buying them.
If that makes any sense.
95% of the items I make, I use. With the exception of the Early-Style Brakeline Extender (Mine are '91 and '94)
AND these light mounts.
I am only making these because of the extreme demand for them (not just here).
I wont be installing these light mounts on my Cherokees, that I why I am putting the call out for any fellow-Cherokee owners that would like to test them out for me.
BTW: I have 8 applications and the position is still up for grabs until SUN. 2PM.
That is the deadline to get applications in.

I like the idea, I plan on mounting lights in a similar location on my Chevy pickup if I ever get it going again. I just dont like the idea of drilling into the pillar, it's so.....permanant. Maybe if I had a wheeling only rig it wouldnt be that big of a deal. Double sided tape might fix my dilemma, but I dont know how much I would trust that and how well it would hold up to extreme weather and temp changes.
Howler.. It is a great looking product and one I think the off road market could really use. I have not seen another one on the market.
