My cousin has managed to get his seat belt stuck in the door latch. How can I get it open for him? Any help would be app.

I wish it were ,but its not a joke. His seat belt retractor dose not work and he managed to get the belt stuck in the latch. He cut the belt thinking it would help, but no luck. His rig is a four door and I can get to the latch by pulling the access plug but cannto get the door latch. I thought of taking off the inner door panel next but thought I would see if anyone ran into this problem before. Sorry for what I guess is a stupid question. I'll figure it out myself so when someone else has a stupid question I may be able to help. If I wanted sarcasim I'd have posted this on NAXJA or the like.

I wasn't being sarcastic. My ex-wife did the same thing once, and that's how I got the door open. I had to really shove that sucker. I was thinking of her when I hit the door! *****,... open! It worked.

I don't think the poster was being sarcastic. the way you worded the original post it might lead someone to believe your cousin is still in the truck trying to get out and your trying to figure out how to open the door for him. kinda funny if you pictured it like I did. anyway lol is the belt stopping the door latch from opening or is the belt just wedged in there holding the door closed. if its the later of the two I would say just push hard on the door and open it.

a week later the poor cousin is tired of drinking frostys and eating Wendys baconators.. still stuck in the jeep.. i totally picture that.
