security system disables ignition. help
So I took the doors off awhile ago doing so I took the door sensors off so it wouldn't buzz at me all the time. Long story short it engages my security system and when I go to start the jeep it kills my ignition. I can still pop the clutch going down the driveway but would rather kill the security system. Any one know where the power is or what wire/fuse I can pull to kill my security system. Its a huge pain to sit there and wait 10 or 15 minutes and wait to start my jeep

What kind of security system do u have. Is the resistor in the key or the swiitch. If it is in the key it is as easy as wiring in a resistor and if it is in the ignition switch itself u have to cut a wire while the truck is running. If u do get it fixed please post a write up to help others with the same problem.

I don't think I have a resistor in my key as its just a plain metal key. I don't have a fob as I don't have any power accessories such as windows or locks. So where is this wire. I have OK wrench abilities but when it comes to electrical I am completely lost

Awesome that is the most help I have gotten. Thanks. I went through so much Google search crap and only found a few thing. I might have gotten it. There is an alarm disable wire in the driver kick panel and I clipped it and it hasn't gone off yet. But if it does that yellow wire is done for. Thanks

Ok finally got it. The other day I finally got some time to actually look at the jeep. I found out that the PO had installed an alpine mobile security system. No idea why cuz I bought it as a giant pile. Any ways all I had to do was cut the wires coming off of the red 12v constant and no more system. I also clipped all the wires to it and ripped that pos out of there. Now I know what all the wires are back there I will probably hook up a push button ignition as this is going to be a pure trail rig in a couple weeks. Not that it would matter where I live anyways. If anyone cares that's what I did
