For a 2" lift... I'd go for 30's. If you are planning on going to a larger lift before you wear out the tires, then look at 31's.

This is one of my old jeeps with a 2" BB and 30" tires. The rear end is closer to 3" than 2" its only about a week after I did the lift.

Incorrect. You need longer u-bolts to hold the springs together IF you add a leaf. The shackles have no relations with the u-bolts.

it will be inf act IMHO an XJ with 2" of lift is how it should have come from the factory...also get yourself a can of PB Blaster and start spraying your shock bolts and rear shackle/spring bolts..It will make removal much much better..

The upcountry had a 1.5" lift from the factory but there were only a handful sold each year.

No.. IIRC, the package was quite pricey for what you actually recieved. I will have to see if any of the sales brochures I had survived the flood. But I seem to remember the upcountry package was around $1100 for the skid plates, the lift, longer travel shocks and upsized tires.

That is my recollection as well. Over a grand and if you seldom went off road that was a lot of money that could be better spent on other family needs. I do think it was cheaper if combined with other packages like the tow package or the appearance package. In combination you ended up with the cheaper package at about half price IIRC.

Which brand? If you are referring to the factory lift then it was top quality but was very little in the lift height. Less than 2" so not hardly noticeable.
