hi Rich,

I just disconnected the battery cable Negative for install.. I will do as you say!! Can't hurt.. I noticed the raidio had all my old channels... So let me reset the computer as you suggest..

The car runs great.. dont get me wrong .. I feel less snap or punch when hitting it at 50mph or off the line.. I went 100 miles on a 1/2 a tank of GAS!!! ??? I think you have the right ones Rich.. Those fords.. They are all over the place locally here on Long Island in Junkyards.. so are the 784's... But let me do what you suggest right now

Ok I just did what you said Rich and well see.. I buzzed around the block and the truck still kicks ***.. However, I might be diffrent then most on here.. Back in 2001 I bought the same exact truck Brand New from Browns Jeep in Patchogue NY.. A black Cherokee sport.. I will never forget that truck.. I could litterally smoke the tires down at a dead stop off the line with that truck.. Unreal.. This blue one, Same truck I bought 3 months ago for 2400 bucks with 177k.. Since then I got every single item working 100%.. I had the heat soak issue so wrapped the injectors and that fixed it.. etc.. No matter what I do this truck cannot duplicate the power of that brand new one I had back in 2000.. What a kick *** truck that was.. I realize this is old at 177K but it still kicks ***.. Just not like new.. not even close..

There is a reason I got 6 brand new injectors for 60 bucks.. Somehting is wrong with them.. lol.. They work good but the price is?? comon.. ford must have stopped using them due to high fuel consumption.. IM blowing through gas or I just keep gassing it to feel for more power.. Who knows.. Its about the same as the old ones.. In fact the old ones felt more powerful then these.. I dunno... Could be all in my mind!! But no noticable diffrence and not worth the change to these injectors for me SO FAR.. I want to try both sets of the others.. 784 and the forcs c4b.. This truck is a toy for me really.. I have a few other cars.. I drive it for bad weather and installing my real estate signs..

I just put the ford mustang injectors in my 2001 cherokee....It took around 45m from start to finish and I spend most of the time taking off my battery cables.....They dont use the stock clips and took some time and grease to get them set up right in the fuel rail....Runs great now, smooth idle and its a lot lot faster ....Now i just have to see how the mileage goes when i stop stomping on the gas .....For 60$, it seems like a great investment thus far

ive got the neon 784s in mine and they definitely increased mileage as well as power, i feel it pull twice as hard in high rpm much more than it did with the stockers, and also i got another 40 miles to a tank with them too, and that was with my superfoot into it haha

I put the 784's in mine also... No increase in power, and still sucks the gas... Waste of time and money.. IMO, no better then my stock injectors. Maybe you guys that are seeing improvements had a bad injector or something?...

i never had any leaks and my stock injectors were very clean as i took them all out when i bought it and cleaned them real good, it seems to me that no xj is the same lol, they all have different reactions to about everything we do to them

My stock injectors were better!! Try nailing it at around 60mph with those New Ford injectors.. the XR3E 9F593 A4B . Im no going to the floor to get the tranny to kick a gear lower for a jump. With the old injectors it was much bettter! However, these are just as good off the line or its all in my mind.. My reason for changing was to get a better idle.. I might put in my old injectors! Or I might try those lean fords c4b.. I would like to save some gas! Who knows it works great with these injectors but im losing foot pedal response at higher rpms above 50mph thats for sure..

I wnet a 100 miles on a 1/2 a tank! lol.. I use to go 150 on 1/2 a tank with old injectors.. no leaks and they are in tight.. response is good.. I also was beating the crap oout of it to see why it was taking my foot to the floor at 60mph for it to jump a gear lower for boost in speed.. Im going to rebuild the old injectors and put them back in!

I conclude that off the line these are as good as the old ones, However at higher speeds they run with less power.. can that be possible?? I should just got get my friend up the block and drop a 454 Chevy in the thing like he did! 500hp in a cherokee! lol

Well i was only going 100 miles one a half tank before anyways so ill see if this does the trick...I think its the truth that every xj is different and responds differently to every mod...I may need a sye with only 3.5" of lift while having a tc drop while some with 5" dont even need one......So there ya go.....It feels fast as hell on the highway and its only at 1800 rmps to stay at 65 compared to the 2100 it took before i did the injectors...My stock ones were also pretty clean too with 125k.....I DO have a smoother idle, and a lot more behind the petal when I hit it....Deff some amazing improvements so far for only 60$, I dont see how you could go wrong.

Wow.. I wish I could say the same.. I got a lot more power from SEAFOAMING the throttlebody.. and adding a can of seafoam to the gas.. Once I did that before doing these injectors I gains a LOT more horsepower and response.. I think if you seafoam your throttle body it cleans the crap out of the injectors as well.. that said the old injectors were working like facotry new after doing that.. Hence these new ones are no better!! SEAFOAM first!

I completed the job in 1.5 hours start to finish. A monkey with a screwdriver and a pliers could do this job. I DID NOT remove the fuel line from the fuel rail. I was able to rotate the rail a bit upward while connected to fuel line and I removed and installed the new injectors.

The truck runs smoother at idle. Its quick as all hell but it was before as well since I ran that seafoam crap.. That stuff works man!

Anyway, I see very little difference.. At least they work and apparently according to that post at http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=92236 they are the best ones.

I can assure you they work for my 2001 without clipnuts and its an easy job!! DO IT!!

untill they start leaking down onto your exhaust manifold and you start a fire,,
