All ya do is stick the rod in the indentation in the fork pretty straight forward.

Like it up ? It just sticlk in the dimple when you depress the brake pedal it extends breaks the straps and stays put .

Are you able to feel the fork with your finger? And do you have a way to bleed the system if you aren't using a pre-bled one? I know mine isn't technically supposed to be bled and you replace the master and slave cylinder together. You don't necessarily need that plastic piece... just make sure it feels good once you push the clutch in. If it doesn't you'll have to find a way to bleed it.

Ae you saying you cant get the rod to extend enough to contact the fork ?

Try depressing pedal half way down hold it there then open bleeder then depress pedal rest of way to floor hold pedal close bleeder. Then repeat checking fluid after every to bleeds .
