Default sloppy Steering!!!

Hi All,

I have about an inch play on the steering wheel, i've tried adjusting the steering box on the top adjustment screw & nut, but dosnt make any difference....only makes steering stiffer, so i reset it to original position.

What normally wears on the steering so i can order the parts, Grand Cherokee Limited 1997 4.0 Auto

Regards Alan...

Lots of parts between the steering wheel and the front tires. Have someone move the steering wheel left/right/left/right alittle while you look from underneath. You should be able to see what is causing the play.
