Get the Felpro and follow the instructions. Make sure all old gasket material is removed and both surfaces are clean.

That thinking is precisely why I did my write-up on this issue. Start at the top. I'm GUESSING your oil filter adapter seals are toast. You're there and your eyes can tell. Valve cover gasket first.

The blue FelPro rubber gasket is @ $49.99 at my local store. More than the cork but WELL worth it. Get it, you'll be glad you did in the long run. It'll last MUCH longer than the cork and since there's no need to use RTV, if you're careful, you can reuse it several times (if, for some reason, you have to take the valve cover off a few times).

We can't diagnose a leak from the internet until you went through a discovery process yourself first and reported back to us. It's your Jeep and you're the person on the scene.
There's too many things it could have been. You said you "thought" it was leaking from the back of the valve cover. OK, check that first before jumping on the keyboard.
You would of been the first one to complain if someone steered you wrong because of lack of information...from you.

Did somebody get but hurt? Your answer broke down into this "find the leak then fix it" using your logic I can fix the economy by simply telling Obama "find the problem with the economy and fix it" its not that simple bro

with the spray of oil you got under there you need to get a can of engine degreaser and spray it on there and spray it off with water and run it for a day then look for oil leaking from anywhere. From the pictures, just like any jeep check oil filter adapter, valve cover, oil pan gasket..etc.....On another note, to the people using felpro gaskets, don't forget their great gaskets and they come with a 1 year warranty, USE IT, if they leak at all in that year take them back!
