Default Spacers and Shackles

Looking at doing a cheapmans lift using 2'' spacers for the front a 2'' lift shackles in the rear using the stock leafs. Is this a good decent setup ment for a light to moderate dirt use? Do you guys have any suggestions on the type spacers and shackles? Any specific place you guys like to get them from? Anything?

Thanks

Fat Bobs Garage out of Salt lake, sells 1, 2 and 3 inch Budget Bossts for the XJ. Done with spacers in the front and shackles or AALs in the rear. We got a 3 inch Budget Boost for my son's 87 XJ from him.pacers in front and AAL in the rear. I sat nice and level and it was $85 and some change delivered to our front door in Washington state. It has held up great and clears 31s perfectly.

Sounds great! Does he have a site or how did you find him? I see he is a Rough Country dealer but I don't think RC makes 3" BB's.

Now over time wouldnt the aal sag? NO ME GUSTA el saggo. lol. i think i've read this.

Now would i need to get new brake lines for the rear to accomodate the lift? (i'm also tryin to get as much articulation out of the stock stuff as well)

AAL's sag, original stock springs sag.
I would beg, borrow or steal to avoid wasting time and money on either.
Full leaf pack!

Lol well coming from a cheap poor highschool kid that'll be down the road. But for now the stock springs will have to sufice.

Any good reputable companies that make good shackles and spacers?

I found a helper spring @ advanced auto for 28 bucks. Added 2" of lift in the rear. I use my rig for a DD and hauler of foreign objects+my post apocalyptic survival machine if need be I don't rock crawl so it does not matter to me. Cheap lift regardless. Took 15 min to install.

Now does the helper spring act like a aal? or is it something completely different?

I have 2" Teraflex spacers, and 1.5" shackles (I think) on the back. Look good, and the full kit is only about $150 from their site. However the 28" tires on the back will knock the back fenders off sometimes.

if you want to get as much articulation as possible then you will need longer shocks, and brake line extensions
