Mine came with a factorymuffler (duh) so should I replace it with the exact type!? Lol I'm just saying e3's are good plugs, I haven't heard a bad thing about them. They are just newish so everyone's kinda staying back. But if they work for him great! And I'm sold on getting some. I have champions in mine right now and I can't say that they are the greatest.. Also a mechanic told me today he ran the Bosch (fancy ones) and had a very good experience.

That's good man. But if your jeep is running bad and the plugs look okay try swapping different plugs in. (Try the ngk) that meaning your current plugs are champions

Correct me if im wrong, arent E3s copper plugs? they just have an open end on them is all. Ive ran them for a few years in my 90. I live in tx in a county that makes me do emissions testing. it comes out as clean as newer cars. the guy is shocked every year. to each their own but its still a copper plug. i agree with the fancy platinums etc, dont use them. also use the e3s in a 05 focus and a 01 626, no issues.

Renii?
A spark is pretty much a spark. If it's sufficient to fully light off the fuel and the heat range is appropriate, there wouldn't seem to be anything further to gain technology-wise.
Some are better-constructed than others, some have longer lifespans in certain motors, some don't work well with waste-spark systems, but I can't imagine the physics that would allow for mileage and power gains over a properly operating simple copper plug.
But then again I haven't changed them since Clinton was president so what do I know, lol.
