Speedometer not calibrated
Hey all. I have a 92 XJ and the speedometer on the car shows that the speed is about 3-4 mph faster than I’m actually going. This is the opposite of what I would expect since the tires are 235s and the stock is 215. That should make the speedometer slower than I’m actually going, shouldn’t it? I checked the speedo gear in the transfer case and it’s the right size (34)

Depends on what axle ratio you have. Checkout https://midwestjeepwillys.com/speedometer-gears.html, I'd take whatever percent you think it's off and grab the correct speedo gear. It's not unusual for stock to read a little high as the manf would rather it read too high than too low and get sued after an accident.
