Hey guys so i have a 1997 cherokee and the other day my speedo quit on me. I checked fuses checked connections to transfer case, got a new sensor and made sure it was clocked in the correct orientation for my speedo gear, remobed the gauge cluster and cleaned contacts and the two connectors for cluster...i am out of ideas its bothering me to the point of buying a new cluster but that may not be the issue..all other gauges work fine and i would like to be able to have it working again..well any other inpit would be great.

You don't have a friend that you could swap the cluster with? Should only take a minute...

I don't have any diagrams with me right now but when I do I'll take a look at it.

Did you look to see if perhaps your speedo gear was stripped?

 

I could probably find a buddy and try. And the gear looks fine and same with transfer case side too!
