Squealing noise

Maybe the belt is too tight? it does use the power steering pump as a tensioning point, I believe.

I'm about to replace my PS pump because it's common for them to go out and make that noise, but if you've replaced it and the belt doesn't seem to be on it correctly because the power steering pump pulley was not installed correctly, it will also cause your pump to squeal.

It's likely the guy at autozone f'd ur pump up.

Actually it was some left over belt dressing left on the pulley's that f'd up the new belt and made it squeal. I cleaned off all the pulley's real good and put on another new belt and the squeal went away. Never again will I use belt dressing. Gotta learn someday.
