Stainless hose?
Anyone ever see stainless radiator hoses? Any idea how much of a difference they make? My 93 seems to run hotter than I'd like and it says they help with cooling just want to know if its worth it or not.

from what I can gather (never used) about braided hoses, unless you get actuall braided hoses they are just a dress up for the hose. Real braided hoses actually give the hose a bit of strength but I cant imagine they would help with cooling bad or good.

TBH, if those cool any its goona be so minimal that its just not worth it. If you are going for aesthetics then maybe, but for perfomance, not so much

Trying to go for both but I want to find something to cool more before I try for aesthetics, currently my jeep runs on the right half of the temp gauge I want it back at center, hope I don't need a head gasket

I thought about running a colder thermostat, but I keep thinking about the fact that it ran great at 210 before I had to replace the factory radiator

You can check out mishimoto.com I bought one but ending up using a rubber hose with a coil inside. I still have this hose brand new and never used if anyone wants it.
The stainless steel hose will in fact keep the coolant cooler since most of the heat will transfer to the hose.

I would have to beg to differ on that. Just because it is metal, it doesnt have anuy way of drawing heat away. If anything it will end up getting hoter because of ambient teperatures. Like a radiator or an amplifier if you are trying to draw heat away there needs to be a cooling source as well as fins or something.
The spring running throught the hose you use now is to keep the hose from colapsing.

Oh okay your right it's not going to do anything. SMH
To the OP check em out and see what you think. I warn you just make sure your battery posts are covered. You might guess what happens..but a quick email to mishimoto and they sent a new one in no time at all.
This hose is for the upper radiator hose only.

oops I didnt see your sign! You bring all kinds of interesting facts as to why something will work!
Show some proof before you go with the na na Im right your wrong type attitude. As I said if there any * drops it would be very low and nothing to write home about. He would be better of with a T-Stat. If hes going for flash then by all means.
Has anyone taken any reads on what the under hood ambient temperatures are?

It never really overheated when the radiator went that I remember but after that the water pump went within 2 weeks again don't remember it overheating but the 2 so close together is why I'm worried about the hg it doesn't totally overheat now but it concerns me sometimes. I can keep temps down if I turn the heat on full but when its already 95+ out that's not fun at all lol
When you replaced your water pump and Radiator, did you replace your T-Stat? Could it be possible they gave you a higher temp one?
