Default Stall...electrical issue?

I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport 4.0L. Truck has 91k on it, I bought it a few weeks ago and have put 1k miles on it so far. Before today, it has run well. I had one instance where it was stalling upon start up but ran some injector cleaner and it seemed ok.

Today I was driving in slow moving city traffic and with no warning at all it just died, no tremble or shake, it just shut off and would not start back up. It cranked and sounded as if it wanted to start but just would not turn over. One odd thing, which may or may not be related, is that when the truck was stalled, the hazard lights did not flash, they stayed steady (as if bulb was out) same for the directionals. After about 15 minutes the truck started up fine, then the hazards worked again, and it drove fine for the past hour or so since.

My father, a no longer able bodied former Chrysler mechanic, though it may be electrical (or fuel related). Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas? The flashers issue has me curious if it related to the stall. Anyone?
