Stalling out and Dying after startup
Just a general question hoping for help from someone with know how. I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee 4X4, 4.0 Liter, Automatic. The general problem is when I attempt to start the vehicle it fires but then sort of sputters and stalls out after 5-10 seconds. The best way to describe the way it feels is a miss. This only happens when the vehicle is warm and has NEVER happened on a cold start. No check engine light takes 5-10 tries to start successfully. New plugs/wires. Thanks for your time and I appreciate any help.

i would say check the IAC also.. i had a simalar problem with my 98 but mine was a bad battery causing the ecm to forget the throtle position and i would have to keep my foot on the gas for about a mile or so just so it would stay running and then it was fine so i replaced the battery and no more problem

makes it feel like it is missing more when the accelerator is applied after starting. Checked the throttle body today and it is VERY clean. Also just today it died while driving it..... still no check engine light
