COS? It started acting up again today. Bummer. Maybe it is the camshaft pos sensor? I don't know.
I find it strange that after replacing the crankshaft pos sensor and re setting the computer it drove fine for 2 days.

Go to an auto parts store and have them check pull codes. Just because your check engine light isn't on, doesn't mean that there aren't any pending codes. The C.E. light only turns on if your computer detects the same problem 3 times during the same drive cycle. For example: cylinder 1 misfires once. Your computer sets a PENDING code. Misfires again, then you shut off. No light comes on, but the code can still be found in the ECM.

Just before I replaced the CPS it did throw the code for it. I believe it shares the code with the camshaft sensor. That's why it seems the only thing left! I will check it again when I get the time though.

Still an on going problem.
My engine light flashed again today. I pulled these codes:
P0138 (M) 1/2 O2 Sensor Shorted To Voltage Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above normal operating range.
P0340 (M) No Cam Signal At PCM No fuel sync.
P1391 (M) Intermittent Loss of CMP or CKP Loss of the Cam Position Sensor or Crank Position sensor has occurred. For PL 2.0L
My Cherokee will run for weeks just fine. Then some days it will just die while stopped or try to die while going 55 down the hwy. It usually will pick itself back up again when driving, but it makes it buck something awful. Some days it is really bad and will buck and try to die the whole way into town. Only other clue is that it seems to have to warm up first before it starts acting up.
Does this pin point my problem for anyone?
Thanks

I think the camshaft position sensor is still in play here.......
Two of those three codes can be related to the cam sensor. Crank sensor as well, but as you replaced that and are still having symptoms, cam sensor is more of a suspect.
I have seen the cam sensor to be subject to thermal (heat related) failure.

I have replaced the cam sensor. Have been driving it for 3 days, no stalling. Will keep you updated. I am pretty sure the other code for the O2 sensor is because of a crack in my exhaust manifold. I will be ordering a new header soon I think.

Still good after driving it to work all month! Now time for an APN Header to get rid of that exhaust leak and get rid of the o2 code! I am ready for good gas mileage too.
