Default standin water in floor-boards..

Good evening,
Had dozens of cars/trucks/machinery and to keep a long story short, what is it that is INHERENT with the standing water in the floor boards?

Is it the windshield, door weatherstrip, What..?
I am in the process of finishing up the front clip swap and walked out to the jeep after about 4 days of rain and its' got standing water in the pas side floor boards.

Where's the first places to start to look?

My 81 is doing the same thing but have a feeling its' the windshield.

THanks E

Heater core,The cowl vent,The windshield or the doors.Look around inside it see if you can tell where its coming from.Depending the weather you could have someone take a garden hose to the spots that could be it while your in it looking for leaks.

Thank you sir. (Andrew I presume?) It looks like a newer windshield at some point, and I don't think it's the core. No coolant smell.
I'm kinda thinking it's the cowl area. I'm messing with the wiring and timing chain today and will pull it off and see if there is trash over in the sides. Maybe a long coat hanger will pull up something.

BUT, even if there is trash, and I clean it, WHAT body seams or _____ does water leak through? Just had the fenders off but didn't see 'clods' of leaves or crap piled up in one area. EVERY ONE of my jeeps has this!
Eastwood came out with a can of spray sealer that has a capillary tube that is supposed to be able to spray INSIDE a frame or enclosed 'space'. But looks like the tube is only a couple feet long. (it's only a spray can though) Not sure how long this cowl area actually is.?

Thanks again.

I just removed a windshield from my 96, and it was installed wrong previously. The glass tech said it's a real problem with the cherokees. You have to take your time and install it properly.
Btw He reinstalled mine after throrough cleaning and prep.

Mine is the windshield. Rust under the support lip. Will be removing the windshield and replacing some metal.

Just had the one in my 88 comanche done and got to look and clean out the crap around the bottom (and vac out the pencils, dust and glass chips too!)
NO rust, just some sediment and clips that were gone..

AND, of course it started to rain while he was installing it.

We'll see..
